Sydney, Australia – 31 October 2025 – Southern Star Research (SSR) has been recognised with two major honours at the 2025 NSW Export Awards — taking home both the NSW Exporter of the Year and International Health Award titles. These achievements highlight the company’s growing global presence and continued contribution to advancing healthcare through world-class clinical research.
The NSW Export Awards, presented by the Export Council of Australia, celebrate businesses that demonstrate excellence in international trade and showcase the state’s innovation and capability on the global stage.
Dianne Tipping, Chair of the Export Council of Australia, congratulated all winners and acknowledged the important role of organisations like Southern Star Research in strengthening Australia’s reputation for quality and innovation.
Lloyd Prescott, CEO of Southern Star Research, said:
“We are deeply honoured to receive these awards. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team and our unwavering commitment to advancing global health through high-quality clinical research.”
David Lloyd, Managing Founder of Southern Star Research, added:
“As a proud NSW-based organisation, we are passionate about highlighting the strength of local talent and demonstrating our ability to have global impact. This acknowledgement reinforces our mission to deliver excellence in healthcare outcomes while contributing meaningfully to the growth of NSW’s export economy.”
For more than 15 years, Southern Star Research’s highly qualified clinical team has supported trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas — from common to complex indications. This experience ensures that clinical trials benefit from insights developed across diverse patient populations and clinical challenges.
Southern Star Research looks forward to celebrating at the National Export Awards ceremony on 26 November in Canberra, where the 14 category winners will be announced, and one will also be named Australian Exporter of the Year.
