As an Australian company we are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) stated in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988, which regulates how we may collect, use, disclose, store and process personal information and how individuals may access and correct personal information held about them.

When dealing with personal information obtained from within the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA), we will manage information in accordance with the requirements of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU2016/679). Our position in relation to this regulation is outlined in our full privacy policy.

In addition to these privacy laws, our industry is governed by internationally enforceable Clinical Trial requirements (ICH Good Clinical Practice and ISO 14155 Clinical investigation of medical devices for human subjects – Good clinical practice) and the Australian ethical framework (NHMRC National Statement) as well as other international regulations in the countries in which we operate with regard to the use, protection and security of personal and sensitive information obtained from clinical trial participants.

We will only collect this information by lawful means and use information for specific purposes relevant to our service provision.

All personal information will be used for the purpose for which it was obtained, a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose, with your consent or where required or authorised by law.

An individual may remain anonymous or use a pseudonym when dealing with us; however, in some cases if an individual does not provide us with the information requested, the company may not be able to provide the goods or services that he/she is requesting.

We take steps to ensure that the personal information we manage is accurate, up to date and complete. These steps include maintaining and updating personal information when we are advised by individuals that their personal information has changed and at other times as necessary.

When personal information is no longer required, it will be destroyed or returned in a secure manner.

If an individual requests access to the personal information we hold about them, or requests that we change that personal information, we will allow access or make the changes unless we consider that there is a sound reason under the Privacy Act, or other relevant law to withhold the information.
